Engauge Wins Wisconsin 2022 SHRM Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Award

October 21, 2022
We are excited to announce that Engauge Workforce Solutions has been awarded the Wisconsin 2022 SHRM Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion award!

Since 2008, the Wisconsin SHRM State Council has been acknowledging and honoring organizations with the WI SHRM Diversity Award for their outstanding efforts in promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. The award recognizes the winner for their organizational accomplishments, exemplary leadership, and unequivocal dedication to diversity, making them an inspiration to their local community. The recipient of the award always stands out as a role model and a champion for diversity.

Here is a quote from the Wisconsin SHRM State Council explaining why they choose Engauge Workforce Solutions:

    • 87% of their Recruiters, 100% of their Workforce Engagement Consultants, 100% of their Onsite Leads, 100% of their Payroll Processing team and 80% of their Customer Service Representatives come from diverse backgrounds. The team is fluent in Spanish, French, Burmese, Karen, Rohingya, Malay, Hindi, Mina, Fon and Manding.
    • Tours are offered at their outsourced manufacturing facility to any companies or community partners that are interested in seeing a real-life example of how to successfully create a fully inclusive environment in their facility.
    • They translate work instructions used in their outsourced manufacturing facility into multiple languages to allow for non-English speaking Associates to not only work in the facility, but most importantly thrive. They also offer translation services to their clients seeking to translate work instructions or other materials to support diverse workforces.
    • Internal team members from diverse backgrounds are used to educate new team members on their specific communities’ cultural norms to ensure they understand how to best interact with individuals from those communities.

    • They partner with the Down Syndrome Association of Wisconsin (DSAW) to provide Associates with diverse abilities the opportunity to get exposure to manufacturing and distribution at their outsourced manufacturing facility. Engauge is a subrecipient of DSAW’s Workforce Innovation Grant from the DWD and WECD, which will allow them to increase their training offerings to include things like inventory control and robot programming.”

Lastly, here is a quote directly from our COO Katie Malnight Meisinger:

“This is an incredible honor and would not be possible if it weren’t for all our terrific team members, community partners and clients. We look forward to continuing to expose additional manufacturers and distributors to the benefits of utilizing a workforce that includes those from diverse backgrounds or those with diverse abilities.

We know that, initially, bringing on these groups of individuals can be intimidating. This is why Engauge has created tools to help companies seamlessly blend a non-traditional workforce with their traditional workforce. Tools like our Workforce Engagement program, which provides on-site support from bilingual manufacturing and distribution experts. Or, customized training and development classes that prepare Associates for day-one success prior to even entering your facility.”
