Job Description:
As a Mold Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the evaluation, maintenance, and repair of molds used in our injection molding processes. In addition, you will be tasked with completing all necessary mold conversions to ensure seamless production.
Responsibilities:
- Clean injection molding tools at the end of each production run.
- Field strip molds according to the PM (Preventive Maintenance) schedule.
- Make repairs or replace components, notifying management of repairs beyond in-house capability.
- Document all work in tooling files and computer databases.
- Test and repair problems related to heaters, manifolds, and torpedoes.
Success Criteria:
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
- Stand/walk for a minimum of 8 hours.
- Capable of working independently.
- Willingness for daily and weekend overtime work.
- Above-average mechanical aptitude.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring equipment and tool room equipment.
- Aptitude for very close tolerance precision work.
- Able to train on 1st Shift for the initial 8 weeks (7:00 am - 3:00 pm).
