Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shipping Lead to join our team for the 2nd shift at our Oak Creek facility. The Shipping Lead will oversee all shipping activities, ensuring the accurate and timely dispatch of products to customers. Pay Range: $40,000-45,000
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate shipping activities, including picking, packing, and loading of products onto trucks.
- Ensure compliance with shipping procedures, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Schedule and assign tasks to shipping team members, ensuring efficient workflow and meeting deadlines.
- Train new employees on shipping processes and equipment operation.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the production team to ensure adequate stock for shipping orders.
- Perform quality checks on outgoing shipments to verify accuracy and condition of products.
- Maintain shipping records, including tracking information, delivery confirmations, and inventory logs.
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the shipping process, resolving them promptly to minimize delays.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, as well as external carriers and customers, to coordinate shipments and resolve any issues or concerns.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline shipping processes and enhance efficiency.
