Job Description:
Seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our team as a Material Handler for the night shift at our facility in Sussex, WI. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse to support production operations.
Pay: $19.60 + shift premium $1.50 for a total of $21.10
Responsibilities:
- Material Handling: Safely operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move materials between storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Loading and Unloading: Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers using appropriate equipment and techniques. Ensure accuracy and completeness of shipments and receipts.
- Inventory Control: Assist in inventory management activities, including counting, storing, and organizing materials in designated locations. Keep accurate records of inventory transactions using computerized systems.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and stage materials and products for production orders according to specifications and schedules. Ensure proper labeling and documentation of materials to facilitate smooth production flow.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect incoming materials and outgoing products for damage, defects, or discrepancies. Report any issues to supervisors and follow established procedures for quarantine or disposition.
- Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and product damage. Adhere to company policies, regulatory requirements, and food safety standards at all times.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with team members and other departments to achieve production goals, resolve issues, and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Provide support as needed during peak periods or special projects.
