Manufacturing Accountant
Are you seeking a full time opportunity in Accounting in the Waukesha County area?  Do you have experience in AR, AP, journal entry, month end and reconciliation?

Our Pewaukee, WI client, a plastics manufacturer/distributor is looking to add to their accounting team.  In this role requires proven experience in a manufacturing industry environment and a desire to learn, strong attention to detail and deadlines.

Essential Functions:
  • Accounts Payable – printing of checks weekly for vendor payments and creating ACH / Wire Transfer payments. Including the following: Cash planning for the next week for the company’s line of credit. 
  • Accounts Receivable – to ensure the proper and timely application of payments to customers’ accounts. Including the following: Retrieving payment information from the bank account and matching to the open invoices listed in the ERP system. 
  • Month End – processing of financial data for the period and ensure a timely ledger close. Including the following: prepare journal entries for accruals, GL account reconciliations, Run Post Inventory Transactions program to properly value labor posted during the month. Assure proper cutoff is observed, and system periods are closed and opened timely.
  •  Monitoring of Prepaid account – to properly maintain all prepaid documentation and reconcile balance to the general ledger. Commissions – to properly calculate the quarterly commissions for appropriate sales personnel and supplying that information for HR for payment to employees. 
  • Standard Cost rolls/adjustments – including pulling data together to calculate labor and overhead rates for ERP system (IQMS) 
  • General Ledger – Maintain and update general ledger chart of accounts as needed. 
  • Audits – assist financial controller as needed to provide necessary information to outside auditors. 
  • Quarterly Sales Tax – calculate, complete necessary documentation and process payment for proper and timely payment of sales tax to the State of Wisconsin. 
Job Details:
  • 1st shift, full time
  • $60K/annual salary
  • Must have Associates Degree in a financial discipline
  • 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment
